Horizontal cross compound steam engine built in 1903 by S S Stott of Haslingden. The high pressure cylinder on the right has Corliss valves and the low pressure on the left has a slide valve. The engine drove by flat belt from the pulley to the left of the flywheel. This rusty wreck is now fully restored and in steam at the Anson Museum in Poynton.
