The nave was started 1330 and the chancel in 1350. The tower was also started in C14 but there was a break in the work and it was not finished until C15. Restoration was carried out in 18 . It is mostly made of the brownish iron stone but this is unsuitable for fine working which is why most of the windows etc. are finished in the lighter coloured clunch.
