Taken in September 1981, this photo shows part of the bus depot in Cowley Road at an open day to mark the centenary of public transport in Oxford when horse-drawn trams began to run a service between the Railway Stations and Magdalen Street via High Street. Latterly, City of Oxford Motor Services Ltd ran bus services in Oxford and the surrounding rural area. The bus company moved from Cowley Road to a new depot in Watlington Road, Cowley on Saturday 18th September 2004. Housing now occupies the site of the old bus depot.
