The church is at 157 Shirley Road. The Seventh Day Adventist Church in the UK began more than a century ago at a nearby location. From there it has grown throughout the UK and Ireland. The first baptisms in Southampton (and Great Britain) took place in Shirley Hall on February 8th 1880.
