Roundabout on the A19

Fearsome five-way roundabout on the A19, just off the A1. A cycle route has been signed from Seaton Burn to Stannington along the old Great North Road. Here cyclists have to negotiate their way across the western limb of the roundabout. There is no light control over the westbound carriageway, making this a hazardous undertaking.
