London Overground class 378, 378216, arrives from Richmond with a service to Stratford. This station is the point for the current Class 378 Units to switch over to the 25Kv AC overhead power supply from the 650v DC third rail supply or vice-versa - there is a sign visible in the centre of the photo that reads '378 UNITS PAN DOWN'; reminding the driver of a Richmond bound service to lower pantograph at this point. Below, in smaller letters there is a reminder to all drivers of electric trains to do the same - presumably aimed at the very few class 92 locomotives that pass this way!
