Buildings at the junction with Lawford Street, and with Old Market Street ahead. On the right is the former Palace Hotel, originally the Railway Hotel, built in 1869-70 http://list.english-heritage.org.uk/resultsingle.aspx?uid=1219436&searchtype=mapsearch . Down the street is the dome of the Methodist Central Hall.
