Beside the A432, and listed grade II*, designed by William Butterfield in 1844-5. "Only the stone lychgate, with its simple forms and curious juxtaposition of angles, suggests the pungent sort of originality Butterfield's finest work was to display later" (Henry Russell Hitchcock, Early Victorian Architecture in Britain, vol. 1, 1954, quoted at http://list.english-heritage.org.uk/resultsingle.aspx?uid=1288247&searchtype=mapsearch ; St Saviour's church, to the left, is also by William Butterfield).
