The hall is known as the Stuart Memorial Hall. It was built in 1924 and presented to the village in memory of William Esme Montagu Stuart, only child of William and Millicent Stuart of Tempsford Hall, who died in action in the Somme in 1916, and in memory of the fourteen Tempsford men who lost their lives in World War One. The village war memorial stands in the forecourt of the building.
