One of the largest outdoor pools in the country, Bourne outdoor pool http://www.bourneoutdoorswimmingpool.org/ gets very popular on hot summer days. Originally created in 1919 from the Abbey fishpond, it was modernised in 1932, heated from 1972 and taken over by Bourne Outdoor Pool Preservation Trust in 1990.
