This lone dram represents the countless drams that were drawn by horses along this route bearing raw materials to the world's biggest iron works. Adjacent a leat carried water another essential raw material. The location has changed out of all recognition to the hive of early industry that it once most surely was. We need these reminders and tokens as they represent the people, their ingenuity and hard work.
