The leaves are finally changing colour after a warm autumn. But maybe the late cold spring has affected things too. This tree is looking the best I have ever seen it. Update, December 2013: Fellow Geographist Robin Stott has corrected my original identification. The tree is actually a Caucasian or Claret Ash, Fraxinus angustifolia 'Raywood', also known as Fraxinus oxycarpa 'Raywood'.
