A closer view of Image . The plaque reads 'A gift by Mrs Alick Shill Mayoress of Coventry 1916-1918'. At the foot of the pillar is a small trough to catch the water provided via the spout from the animal head, at the turn of the knob above it. From the polish on the knob, passers by still can't resist having a go. The top has broken away, and the loop may have had a cup chained to it.
