In the south-western part of the square, a south-north footpath starts to descend through grazing land to Bighton Road (seen crossing the middle of the photograph). Beyond, a driveway leads to Grove Farm (middle distance) in a small valley surrounded on three sides by trees. Beyond that the hill rises in the far distance to trees which are at Hattingley, just outside the square.
