As the potatoes were being lifted from the ground the men riding on the back seemed to be sorting through them. Surprisingly, most of the potatoes then seemed to be dropped on the ground - you can see this happening just left of the nearer pair. I suppose the potatoes are collected later in another operation? A flock of hungry seagulls circulate about the slow moving tractor as the potatoes are dug up.
