View eastward on the island platform, towards London: LT Underground Piccadilly (formerly also District) Lines, Cockfosters - Piccadilly Circus - Acton Town - Hounslow West - Heathrow Terminals. The station as built by the Metropolitan-District Railway was named 'Heston & Hounslow' until 12/25. District Line services ceased from 10/10/64; Piccadilly Line services commenced 13/3/33, being extended from Hounslow West to the Heathrow Terminals in stages between 19/7/75 and 27/3/08 - when Heathrow Terminal 5 was opened.
