The photograph on this page of Rats are no longer a problem? by Bob Harvey as part of the Geograph project.

This new housing estate has been built to the south of the Car Dyke, on what had previously been the Co-Op superstore. Extra storm drains have been laid, and here we see the original and the new outfalls (another similar pair occur further up). The original has a heavy iron door, to keep vermin from nesting in the drain. This idea seems to have fallen out of favour: the new one is unprotected.
