There are several vantage places along the promenade from which one can obtain an uninterrupted view along the coast to the next vantage place. On the right, conversion of the former Royal Sea Bathing Hospital into apartments is taking place with scaffolding cladding an extension, whose other side can be seen in Westbrook Road.
