Built as Stow College of Distributive Trades, later to become the Central College of Commerce. A Category B Listed building http://data.historic-scotland.gov.uk/pls/htmldb/f?p=2200:15:0::::BUILDING:48413 by architect Peter Williams, of Wylie, Shanks & Underwood in 1959-1963. Distinct Le Corbusier http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Le_Corbusier influences can be seen, especially on the roof. Williams also designed the nearby Glasgow College of Building and Printing building Image and the Glasgow Dental Hospital on Renfrew Street Image See the same view in 2006 Image when it was still the Central College Of Commerce.
