At the turn of the century, 3 Hamnett Street, on the left, was Fowden's Undertakers. http://oldhyde.blogspot.co.uk/2011/04/j-t-fowden-undertakers-on-hamnet-street.html Although still listed as such in many online directories, it hasn't been an undertakers for some years and is now the home of a hydroponics business. The adjoining premises at #5 are now occupied by Janet Dale's Beauty Salon http://www.janetdalebeauty.co.uk/ a 20 year old business that previously occupied #3.
