View NE to remaining abutments of the bridge formerly carrying an ex-Midland branch over Furnace Road, Loscoe. To the right, the line came off the Erewash Valley main line at Heanor Junction, which was between Langley Mill and Shipley Gate, through a subsidiary Langley Mill station; to the left it ran to Ripley. the line surviving until 1/9/51. Heanor North station had been about 300 yards to the right and had been closed since 1/5/26!
