Most of the chimneys of the former lace factories on Russell, Newdigate and Gamble Streets have been demolished, but there is what Elain Harwood (in the Pevsner Architectural Guide) describes as "a majestic survivor at Albert Mill, a rebuilding by Arthur W Brewill, dated 1893; now flats."
