Considered to be the grandest house in the street, No.114 Coltman Street was built 1854 by Benjamin Musgrave, who was also responsible for No.168. Between 1874 and 1890, the house was occupied by Christopher Pickering (1842-1920), trawler fleet owner and philanthropist. After having been subdivided into flats by the City Council, the building was vacant and falling into disrepair at the time this photo was taken.
