Vansittart Road on the left forms the western edge, and Arthur Road on the right, the southern edge, of Gardner Cottages, a rectangular area of houses with a large green (about 90 metres by 45 metres) in the middle. Houses in Duke Street form the northern and eastern sides of the rectangle.
