Saxtead Mill

This windmill was built in the late 18th C. In the 19th C. there was modernisation but the whole mill was restored during 1957-60. Nevertheless this is a fine example of a post mill and an outstanding local landmark; as well as a Scheduled Ancient Monument (County No.63). It is Grade II* listed with English Heritage Building ID: 285948.
