Public footpath Leatherhead 18 at its junction with Oaklawn Road crosses Teazle Wood towards the grandly named Rowhurst Avenue (actually a track through the wood). The footpath was laid out by the Leatherhead Common inclosure award in 1865, at a width of six feet, across what was then Rowhurst Long Meadow. Just inside the wood, marked by a post, is a permissive path parallel to Oaklawn Avenue, to connect with public bridleway Leatherhead 140: part of the Leatherhead circular walk.
