This plant in Sandy Lane Aveley Essex collects methane from covered over landfill sites. The gas produced was piped to the Thames Board Mill in Purfleet. The mill is in the process of closing so new markets will need to be found for the gas. The plant has the advantage of preventing gas from leaking into nearby homes.
