In 'A Guide to Ancient and Historical Wales' by Sian Rees, this monolith is called Bryngwyn Stone. The Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales gives its name as Sythfaen. It is 2.1m high x 0.5m square and possibly dates from the 2nd millennium BC. There is an OS Cut Mark on the NE face. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3571739
