Gweddillion castell tomen a beili a roes yr enw Trecastell i'r pentre. Codwyd yr amddiffynfa gan y Normaniad yn ystod y ddeuddegfed ganrif. Ychydig iawn o'i hanes a wyddys. Gorchuddir y domen heddiw gan ffawydd. The remains of a Norman motte & bailey castle which gave the name Trecastell (Trecastle) to the village. The structure was built during the twelfth century but very little of its history is known. Today the motte is covered by beech trees.
