The entrance from Old Church Street leads to the grounds and the remains of St Mary's Church. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3525878 The plaque on the left records that the gates were presented by the children of Robert Owen. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3526124 The plaque on the right records the official reopening of the church grounds in August 2000.
