“Hecklands” (left) and “Ingelheim” are two large houses, between the Belmont Church Road and Greenwood Avenue, on the Upper Newtownards Road. The street directories show that “Hecklands” was built in the very early part of the 20th century when occupied by HC Kelly, the Sub Sheriff for Co Down. “Ingelheim” is a bit later - from between 1910 and 1918. The former is still in residential use and retains its external architectural detail see Image The latter is now offices and has lost some of the detail. Originally numbered 366&368 but now 430&432.
