Former works of the Hull Hydraulic Power Company, now a workshop. Built 1875, by Henry Robinson of London. The operating company closed down in 1947. The blue heritage plaque reads: 'This building operated from 1876 as the hydraulic power station serving the Old Town and other areas. The first hydraulic system laid by Act of Parliament, it was also the first public utility in Hull.'
