Looking west on Bridport Road. The houses on the North side were built around 1932 on Duchy of Cornwall land. There is a covenant that says none of the buildings should be closer to the road than (I think) 30 feet which gives it a nice open, leafy feel; unlike Pounndbury half a mile further down the road, which, although also on Duchy land, there is little space for anything and gardens are tiny.
