A memorial eagle

This golden eagle is the same as the one which stands in the Mining Memorial Garden in New Cumnock. It is at the entrance to Knockshinnoch Lagoons. This is where 13 men lost their lives in a mining disaster in September 1950. The eagle stands on a large piece of coal.
