This is in a small green space adjoining a footpath. There would be a fascinating story behind this inscription. How and where did Job die? What's the connection between Dorset and Maidstone? Who was Job Pope? The inscription is below... Erected to the memory of Job Pope, son of the late Thomas Pope Esq, of In Park in the Parish of Cattistock in the county of Dorset. Who after a few hours severe suffering died on the 18th of July 1832. Aged 22 years. In the midst of life we are in death.
