Nos. 45-47, St Nicholas Street - on the left - is perhaps better known as Curson Lodge, a Grade II* listed 16th century former inn. The Victorian post box is on Silent Street and under the final tree in the row ahead is a statue of the Roman Catholic Cardinal Thomas Wolsey (1473-1530). Wolsey, is thought to have been born and raised nearby. The Waterfront (River Orwell and the Marina) can be reached in the distance using St Peter's Street.
