The Railway pub, Ramsey

The railway has gone, but the pub remains. This is found next to the site of Ramsey North Railway station which opened in 1863. It closed to passenger traffic in 1947 and to freight in 1973. The station was the terminus of a branch line from Holme on the East Coast Main Line. There was another railway station in the town, Ramsey East.
