The stone is set against a wall that runs SSE from the eastern end of Image William Low was born at Auchtermuchty (Image), Fife, on the 8th of July 1850. He was the son of James Low, of H.M.Customs, and Christina White. He was educated at the Universities of St Andrews and Edinburgh, and ordained on the 7th of March 1882. He died unmarried on the 11th of July 1896. As minister of Martyrs' Parish Church, he succeeded Finlay Robert MacDonald, and he was succeeded by James Thomson.
