An Elizabethan House on the banks of the River Calder, completed in 1607 just after the Queen's death. The seat of the Shuttleworth Family until 1970 when the property was gifted to the National Trust on the death of Rachael Kay-Shuttleworth. There is an exhibition in the house celebrating the collection of textiles undertaken by Rachael.
