This photo, taken in Exchange Road, shows the extension to this TE which was probably added during the 1970s to deal with an increase in telephone traffic. In recent years, this TE would have been fitted with digital equipment taking up less room so resulting in considerable space in the building. The original TE can be seen to the right of the photo.
