Recent volunteer work has opened up a new glade in the dense woodland to enhance the butterfly and other fauna/flora potential. The reserve comprises deciduous woodland and adjoining hay meadow and is owned and managed by the Landscape Trust of the Arnside Silverdale AONB http://www.arnsidesilverdaleaonb.org.uk/AONB/Support/AONB-Landscape-Trust.html
