At the midpoint along Maythorne Lane, between its junction with Lower Kirklington Road and the entrance to the hamlet of Maythorne, there is access to the Southwell Trail, i.e. the trail that follows the railway track bed along the former train route between Farnsfield and Rolleston Junction. This is a footbridge that carries the path over a ditch.
