This large resort hotel and spa was formerly an Edwardian mansion at the heart of a large shooting estate. Shooting has been replaced by other outdoor activities, principally golf on the two championship courses linked to the hotel. Little of the original mansion remains following its conversion to a hotel in the 1980s.
