The OS gives a spot-height nearby of 178m (roughly 600 feet) so the pub (and village) are pretty high up, by the standards of southern England. I didn't think to look at the car, but I reckon it must be a Hillman Super Minx, circa 1962 - not the happiest moment in the history of British engineering.
