View eastward on a minor road NW of Elton village, where there used to be a level-crossing over the ex-LNWR line Northampton - Thrapston (to left) - Peterborough East (to right). The station had been on the right but was closed 7/12/53; the (formerly imporant) line survived until 4/5/64. (My Honda Accord in the foreground represents the 'modern' Opposition)
