The classic blue and silver Art Deco shopfront at 76-84 Kew Road has been preserved in a redevelopment which has seen this former café transformed into a Tesco Express and several flats. Reg Matthiae opened a bakery here in 1920 and later expanded the business to include a café, restaurant and catering service. It closed in 2001. The building has grade II-listed status.
