The rise to the summit of Moel Unben is a craggy outcrop of Elwy Group sandstone, Silurian in age. A track from Bedwyn curves round just to the right of the camera. In the middle distance the horizon is formed by the interesting summit of Pen y Mwdwl (Image) with its trig pillar.
