Opened in 1888 by the Manchester Sheffield & Lincolnshire Railway on its line from Sheffield Victoria to Penistone (when this area was a mixture of heavy industry and terraced housing), this station closed in 1940. View north towards Wadsley Bridge and Penistone, although when this image was taken, the tracks only went as far as Stocksbridge steelworks.
