The old route through to Bishop's Stortford now finishes here. Plates on posts at the left indicate that 4, 8 and 12 car trains should pull right up to the stops. It came as a shock to find that provision is now made for 12 car trains on this once sleepy branch. The station cat has a wash while waiting for the next train.
