The building is in the grounds of New Station House. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3376663 I don't know whether it is a remnant of the former Bassaleg Junction railway station http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1769026 or a facsimile. The Pye Corner name sign could be a reference to Pye Corner railway station, a proposed station to serve this residential area in the west of Newport as part of a future development of the Ebbw Valley Railway.
